Is Sydney the only city to have an International FIFA Fan Fest™?
Sydney is one of six official International FIFA Fan Fest™ sites around the world during the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™. Other International FIFA Fan Fest™ sites will be located in Berlin, Mexico City, Paris, Rio de Janeiro and Rome.
Where will the Sydney FIFA Fan Fest™ be held?
Sydney's International FIFA Fan Fest™ will be located at Darling Harbour, located of the world's leading waterfront leisure and entertainment destinations. Darling Harbour is conveniently located close to the CBD and near public transport hubs.

11 June – 12 July 2010.
What times are matches being shown at the Sydney International FIFA Fan Fest™ Site?
Due to the time difference between South Africa and Australia, the matches will be broadcast at 9.30pm, midnight and 4.30am (AEST). See the Match Schedule to plan your World Cup experience.
Where exactly in Darling Harbour will the Sydney International FIFA Fan Fest™ take place?
The promenade around Cockle Bay and Tumbalong Park will both be utilised.
What will the Sydney International FIFA Fan Fest™ look like?
A giant floating screen and stage will be the feature of the Sydney International FIFA Fan Fest™. Tumbalong Park will also feature a large screen providing another interactive spectator zone.

Darling Harbour is a short walk from Central Station and Town Hall Station. How much will it cost to get into the Sydney International FIFA Fan Fest?
The Sydney International FIFA Fan Fest™ is a free community event - there are no tickets or charges to attend. The entertainment, activities and broadcast matches are free.
There will be food and beverages as well as Official 2010 World Cup South Africa™ merchandise available to purchase.
Can people with a disability be part of the Sydney International FIFA Fan Fest?
Yes, the Sydney International FIFA Fan Fest™ is accessible to all members of the community and will be wheelchair accessible.

Can people bring alcohol?
As with all large public events in Sydney, a safe and friendly environment for everyone is our priority. Alcohol will not be permitted to be brought into the venue. Glass will not be permitted in the venue either.
Can people buy alcohol at the event?
People will be able to purchase alcohol from when Managed Access commences at 4pm on weekdays and 12noon on weekends until 2am each day. At all times, Responsible Service of Alcohol will apply. If a patron has had too much, they will not be served any more alcohol.
The event is a licensed venue where people will only be able to purchase low and mid-strength beer while no BYO alcohol will be allowed :
- The venue is a glass-free zone with all drinks to be served in plastic cups.
- Wristbands will be given to all people over the age of 18 years old so they can purchase alcohol.
- Pre-mixed drinks will be on sale however they will not exceed 3.5% alcohol content.
- Before midnight there will be a limit of four drinks per individual purchase.
- After midnight this limit will drop to only two drinks per individual purchase.
- No shots or double spirits will be available and all bars will close at 2am.
- There will be rest days during the event when bars will not be open
Will there be bag searches?
As with all large public events, bags will be checked to ensure that glass, alcohol and other restricted items are not brought into the venue and that the event is a safe, friendly experience for everyone.
Police and security will be working at the live site which is free entry and all fans attending will be subjected to bag searches :
- Fans are informed that folding chairs, umbrellas and tents are not permitted at the venue.
- Eskies and glass bottles are also prohibited from being taken into the venue.
- The possession or lighting of flares and fireworks is prohibited and anyone caught using them will have the items confiscated and could face penalties of up to two years in jail.
- Musical instruments and horns will not be permitted.
- Poles, sticks and oversized banners are restricted (More than 1metre x 1 metre) while balls and sporting equipment are also prohibited.
- Weapons, knives and illegal substances are prohibited with those found in possession of the items to have them confiscated and face strict penalties

As with all large public events in Sydney, a safe and friendly environment for everyone is our priority. Fold up chairs will not be permitted to be brought into the venue.

Will the entertainment go ahead if it rains?
The Sydney International FIFA Fan Fest™ will operate in all weather so long as it is deemed safe to proceed.
What will happens if the event site is full? Will it be safe?
The event precinct will be managed by security and event staff from 4.00 pm on weekdays and from 12.00 pm on weekends until 7am. This means that the areas around Cockle Bay and Tumbalong Park will have perimeter fencing and entries will be managed to ensure public safety. If the site reaches capacity access to the site will be restricted until crowd numbers return to an appropriate level to allow more people to enter the site.
